    Looks good, Works Good

I have a Tiny Form Factor PC that did not come with a DVD/CDRW player and has no room for one. I also have several Installation CD's that I was having to make into ISO files on another PC and install them from flash drives. LeeKooLuu to the rescue. This has the minimalistic quality I was looking for. No buttons, no lights, no graphics, just slot loading joy. Seriously, the only wording on it is a quality inspection sticker on the back. I cant tell you enough how much I like this. I needed no drivers. I just installed it as the minimal instructions show. Because my system had never had a DVD player before I had to install a DVD player program with some codecs for a DVD to work. I plugged it into another Windows 10 PC and I literally just told it to play the DVD and off it went. If I was forced to come up with a negative, it would be the USB cord is a bit short. It works for me just fine because I didn't want or need a long cord. One feature that I really like about this unit is that it... 5/5 Dave Carton - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Would be great if the CF card reader worked ..

This review is from: Sabrent Premium 3 Port Aluminum USB 3.0 Hub with Multi-In-1 Card Reader (12" cable) for iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac Mini, or any PC (HB-MACR) (Electronics) I was very hopeful for this product. I often need a card reader and portable USB hub. However, the CF card read does not work. I tried with three different cards. The SD card reader is fine. I don't own a Mirco SD card so can not comment. I am returning this product to Amazon.<<<<< Update >>>>>>Sabrent contacted me after seeing my review. We tried to work the problem, I did try the card upside down etc. to no avail. They were kind enough to provide me with a replacement and this reader works great. I thought this worked pretty good. First of all

I thought this worked pretty good. First of all, I used this with both my iMac and my Macbook Pro, both running El Capitan. It worked just fine when reading USB drives, CF cards and SD cards.I am giving it 4 stars for the following reasons:1. While the SD card slot is mounted right-side up, the CF card slot is upside down. I almost thought this was a defect and sent it back. I mostly use SD cards but when I had to insert a CF card I assumed it would have the same right-side up (label up) orientation as the SD card. Not so apparently.2. I can't insert multiple cards at a time. As professional photographer/ videographer, being able to dump media is a big plus for me. When I had one card inserted and copying to my external drive and inserted another type of card, it automatically ejected the first card and I had to start over on the copy. Not a huge deal but certainly a time burner and annoying. The reader is quick and for the most part it stays... 4/5 Matthew A. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Partially functioning.

UPDATE [JUNE 24 2016]:I was able to contact Sabrent and explain the situation with the SD cards not reading. I received a quick response, and he let me know that he was sending me a new 100% working USB hub completely free of charge. He even tested the product personally to make sure it was working. I received the replacement in 2 days and it is working exactly how I want it to. I previously gave this product a 2-star review, but because of the excellent customer service, I have changed my rating to 5-stars. Thank you, Sabrent, for the excellent customer service![ORIGINAL REVIEW]The USB ports are upside down, despite the box showing that they are upright. This is not a huge issue, unless you have USB devices with LED's on the plug, or something similar. The SD and Micro SD card readers do not work, which was a huge selling point for me. I do not have a CF card so I can't say if that works or not, but I am willing to bet that it doesn't. I tried plugging the USB... 5/5 Tj - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) DO NOT BUY if you have a bluetooth mouse, here's why...

I've loved every single Anker products except this one, and it's for a very good reason which seems to be very atypical of them for having such a huge design flaw.If you have ever experienced lag with your Bluetooth Mouse the past few years, chances are you're another victim of a very common conflict between USB3.0 and Bluetooth. You can read more about it here - [...]or with a quick google of this topic.I have suspected this Hub for causing me this problem for a while but I refused to believe it. But every time I have my guy come in to work for me using my computer he experience this laggy mouse syndrome. And eventually we traced to this hub because he uses it when he tries to copy files to the USB drives we use. I tried different combinations with different ports or moving my bluetooth receiver, and even tried extending the mouse away from the USB cords or un-coiling the cord the way I usually try to keep things organized, nothing would work. Of interest to Mac users

The AH430 aluminum hub works very well with my 2012 iMac running OS X 10.9.3 Mavericks. When both USB 2 & USB 3 devices are plugged into the hub, it will appear in the System Information app as two hubs, one on a "USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Bus" with the USB 3 items attached to it, & the other on a "USB Hi-Speed Bus" with the USB 2 items attached to that.Blackmagic Disk Speed Test shows that it can deliver USB 3 speeds to USB 3 devices even when both USB 2 & 3 ones are plugged into it. I saw no difference in transfer speeds between plugging a fast USB 3 hard drive into the hub & directly into one of the iMac's ports.Since the hub does not have a separate power supply, it is limited to supplying a maximum total of 900 ma (0.9 amps) to all the devices plugged into it, & no more than 500 ma (0.5 amps) to any USB 2 device. This means it will charge my iPhone 5s, but at only half the rate of Apple's 1 amp "cube" charger. For those using a wired Apple... 5/5 R C-R - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Caveat Emptor - read the Specs before purchase

I made the mistake of buying this hub for it's curb appeal to compliment my 27" Mac. It seemed to work well with all of my Apple devices (iPhone 5, iPad Mini 2nd Gen, keyboard, mouse). I bought the new iPad Air 2, when I would plug in to sync or charge, it would say "Not Charging", my iPad Mini and iPhone 6 and 6+ also say the same thing.I contacted Anker Tech Support via email, enclosed pictures and devices that I was trying to use. They responded stating the following, which I believe is part of the specs......Power Usage Alerts:- To ensure a stable connection, don't use this hub with high power consumption devices (those exceeding a combined current of 0.9 Amps among all ports) such as some large-capacity hard drives.- This hub is not meant to serve as a stand-alone charger. It is not compatible with iPads or any other devices with irregular charging requirements. So, at no fault of Anker, this product is NOT compatible with... 4/5 StevenSS (Lancaster County, PA.) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
